Sheepfold Household
Sunday school at Sheepfold UK is structured around ‘Households’, where each Household represents a collection of diverse members. Currently, there are four Households namely: Household of Judah; Household of Esther; Household of Joseph and Household of David
Men’s Department
The Men’s Department is the forum for men at Sheepfold Chapel UK to organize programmes and activities with both an evangelistic intent and the aim of meeting the spiritual, social, welfare and other needs of men. This fellowship recognises the challenges of manhood in today’s world and seeks to help men in the house of God keep their eyes on the goal – Jesus Christ, our hope for glory. Deriving from this, men are being built up to be strong and mighty, who are responsible and press on to maturity despite the uncertainties of life while being Men of Integrity.
Women’s Department
This fellowship of Sheepfold women seeks to engender godly relationships with fellow women, especially the hurting, so that her strengths are positively employed. She is also equipped to share a verbal witness and to persist in the place of prayer for herself, her family, her church, her community and most importantly to develop a thriving relationship with God. The women’s Department also puts together relevant and timely seminars and conferences that address and educate women on common issues. Women are also guided here to serve the body of Christ with their spiritual gifts, talents and financial resources.
Children’s Department
The goal of this ministry is to help nurture the children to know and love Jesus Christ as they become responsible, respectful and respectable adults in the Community through music, bible stories & study, games, drama, as well as developing their talents and abilities. They are primed to be worthy ambassadors of Christ to their peers in the larger community. They also embark on social trips and events.
Youth Department
We believe that an active and happy youth endowed with the word of God can reach out and influence this perverse and corrupt generation positively for Christ. Therefore, the Youth Department has been established to inspire, to train and to provide resources to the Youth and young adults; so they can be deployed into each community to affect their peers. Our Youth Ministry is driven by the prayer Apostle Paul prayed for Philemon as:
I thank my God, making mention of you always in my prayers, 5 hearing of your love and faith which you have toward the Lord Jesus and toward all the saints, 6 that the sharing of your faith may become effective by the acknowledgment of every good thing which is in you[a] in Christ Jesus. (Philemon 1:4-6)
Intercessory Ministry
This prayer arm of the church stands regularly to intercede on behalf of the church, the church leadership, her members and the entire community at large. The purpose of the Intercessory Ministry is the same as Epaphras had for the Church at Colosse.
Epaphras, who is one of you, a bondservant of Christ, greets you, always laboring fervently for you in prayers, that you may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God. (Colossians 4:12)
Couples Fellowship
The purpose of the Couples Fellowship is to enforce the word of God in marriages where each couple will play the role God ordained for them as recorded in the Bible as follows:
Marriage is honourable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge (Hebrews 13:4)
And I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence. For Adam was formed first, then Eve. (1 Timothy 2:12-13)
Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Saviour of the body. Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her. (Ephesians 5:22-25)
The Couples Fellowship further helps couples lead fulfilled marital lives. This is done through periodic topical marriage seminars and organized marriage-building social events.
